Confessions of an A.D.D. Crafter in Japan.I found this on a blog I was checking. This will be my only foray into the dreaded topic of politics. My son lives in Chicago, so I have a vested interest. It's been an experience for a little Hoosier boy...

•  Body count In the last six months Chicago - 292 killed (murdered) - Iraq - 221
•  Chicago is a combat zone.
• Who is in charge? (The leadership in Illinois )
•  Senator- Barack Obama (Democrat)
•  Senator- Dick Durbin (Democrat)
•  Representative- Jesse Jackson Jr. (Democrat)
•  Governor. -Rod Blogojevich (Democrat)
•  House leader- Mike Madigan (Democrat)
•  Attorney General. -Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike), (Democrat)    
•  Mayor- Richard M. Daley (son of former Mayor Richard J. Daley) (Democrat)
•  State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.
•  Cook County ( Chicago ) Sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look it up if you want).
• Chicago school system one of the worst in the country.

Of course they're all blaming each other. Why? They can't blame Republicans, there aren't any!

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois . And he says he is going to 'fix' Washington politics? "

A noble affair - service and compassion

Gretchen Barron: The SUDDEN_response Network is born!. I belong to a group of stampers that has been proactive in support of those demonstrators who lost their business and/or supplies during the hurricanes. But these women have taken it a step into the future, by organnizing an organization to be at the ready for any crisis in the future. I am sure they are sincere and effective. If you are interested, check the posting and give some thought to how this may be an opportunity for you to care for others.

So Shelli - Blog.    Did you know that Shelli Gardner ( founder/owner ) of Stampin' Up has started a blog! She is moving into the blogging world. It is a little personal glimpse into her world. I have to wonder how she did all this? I know demonstrators are instant fans, maybe you will enjoy a peak into a successful woman's life.

Kiss Them Goodbye

It is official, the retired list is available to demonstrators today, and it's BIG. My goodness, 257 stamp sets are retiring.  There must be some amazing new sets coming soon!  I can hardly wait!  I have a couple of favorites, though, that I will miss terribly ( oh so sad) . I will make this list available May 4th. Woohoo  - check out my events page. - party  time!
