Peter sleep study Digital Scrapbook Page

Petersleepyqp8x8web

This was made from a kit by Daleen Cubbage called Planet polka dot

I made this digital scrapbook quickpage of my youngest son Peter having a sleep study at the hospital. He was excited, thinking he would have room service and a TV all his own. He wasn't too sure about being alone and all the wires. The sleep study showed a heart arrhythmia. And two days with a Holter monitor allayed our fears. He was pretty normal. Well......

Blog Candy

In keeping with the Queen of Clutter give away, I have another book I would love to give away today. I find inspiration from all kinds of  crafty books. I hope you can from this book too. Just leave a comment, and I will draw a name next week. Thanks

Blog Candy Winner!

I'm sorry for the delay, I included this in my newsletter too. And, unfortunately, I can't find the email, so I hope she checks in and sends me her address. I have tried Sandyh50's suggestion and it works when I can do it! thanks for joining in and commenting.

Her post:

I thoroughly identify with your blog entry! I joined Flylady many years ago and loved it. I had to quit the email reminders and just do a synopsis email of one a day. My best tip is to keep the table cleared of clutter. If that is the only thing I do , it really helps if some unexpected company comes!

How to position rubber stamped images using Nestabilities Dies

How to position rubber stamps using Nestabilities in your Cuttlebug die cutting machine..

Most instructions for using the nestabilities, shows placing the nestie with the cut side up, and placing your cardstock or paper over the nestie shape, and using the proper cutting mat sandwich to cut the shape. This can be perfectly efficient, until you have a stamped piece, a printed design, or a photograph that needs to be placed centered in the shape. It is perfectly acceptable, to turn the whole process over. So..

Place your stamped or designed image or photo facing up on the platform. Lay the nestabilities die shape face down, you should be able to see the image in the shape, tape with removable tape, and add the mat sandwich as needed for your machine. Perfect cut every time. I have one really  nice mat I use for the bottom, and one really marked up mat that I use for the top. In this process, if this is important to you, just place the ratty one down first, and the nice one on top.

I have the Sizzix Bigshot from Stampin'Up and I love how versatile this machine is to use. To order use my side bar button or visit my website, Simply Stamping

Sleep and Fibromyalgia for Friday

Sleep deprivation is one theory for fibromyalgia. I began having sleep problems after my last child was born. I was over 40 ( surprise), and he was a fussy sleeper. He didn't sleep through the night until he was six years old. By then, I was pre - menopausal and exhausted. If I could get to sleep, I would often wake in the night, and then I couldn't go back to sleep. I knew I wasn't sleeping well, but was amazed at the difference when my doctor prescribed something to sleep. This is when I learned to play around with my computer and found the internet - the late morning hours.

Here is a cute video for sleep and Goofy

Party Hearty Birthday Card

CarrollAnn's Corner.I just bought this stamp set during the birthday celebration, so I was looking for inspiration. I found this card and loved the colors and textures. I'm pretty sure I own these cuttlebug folders, and I know they will work great on my Sizzix Big Shot machine.

I found CarrollAnn's card on Splitcoast stampers

I would love to see what you have done with this stamp set. If you would like to send photos, I will include them on my post with a gifty for you!

Thankful - A Thoughtful Card

Thankfulfor-you-3x3

Insidethankful3x3

This is a really easy, thoughtful addition to your Thanksgiving table. The card is just 3x3 inches and includes a spot for a gift card, list of blessings, or an appropriate sentiment.

I used Stampin" Up's stamp set Thoroughly Thankful and designer series Paper. I used  Old Olive, and pumpkin pie cardstock and markers. And just for fun, I used Crystal Effects on the flowers. I used the 1 1/4 in., 1 1/2 in, and scallop circle punches too. I love Stampin' Up's punches.

I have a PDF version of the template you can download. It will print 2 on an 8 1/2 x11 sheet of paper. But the card is just a 3x9 1/4 inch strip of paper, scored at 3 inches and 6 inches, with the last panel cut on the diagonal.

I have included this on the There's no place like home blog for their Thanksgiving celebration. Be sure and check out the other great Thanksgiving ideas.
