Baroque Christmas

Bcxmas07Blogger's challenge Friday! Our challenge was to use non- traditional Christmas colors. I really don't like the colors in the picture. It is pretty in real life.  Really! I used elegant eggplant, old olive, and certainly celery. I embossed the baroque motif set in white embossing powder, and used alcohol with the inks to create a watercolor look. The sentiment is from the new Holidays and wishes stamp set.

Please take a look at all the other talented ladies in our challenge group. Their links are in my sidebar.
Merry Christmas!

Wow, this is gorgeous Maggie! I love the colors and the velvet ribbon looks so rich!

Maggie, This is lovely indeed. Great color scheme. I'll have to try your technique with the alcohol & ink to create a watercolor feel. Thanks to for answering the "tag" challenge. Ida

beautiful! I love the background! And is that wide ribbon velvet? It's gorgeous!

Beautiful! The eggplant strip looks like velvet!

I think it looks beautiful even in the picture. The colors are very elegant!

Very neat card...love the contrast of hemp and velvet...plus the softness of the background.
